Centring lived experience at events about health and social care is vital. It promotes social justice, fosters understanding, and unlocks ideas that can improve people’s care and support.

This suite of resources brings together research into inclusive event planning and a practical toolkit for event organisers, developed in partnership with Social Care Future and In Control.

The research highlights key barriers that can prevent people with lived experience from fully participating in events, and the toolkit shares guidance on how we can overcome those barriers and put lived experience front and centre.

See also guidance on paying or rewarding people who contribute to events.
