No assumptions: a narrative for coordinated care and support in mental health

Published: 4 Mar, 2014

Together with National Voices, members of our National Coproduction Group who have mental health needs and other partners we have produced a first draft for the narrative for mental health and are seeking your views.

The document outlines what people with continuing mental health needs have described as necessary for their successful care, support and treatment.

No assumptions: a Narrative for coordinated care and support in mental health

On completion, the document will be:

  • used alongside the national Narrative as an extension of its principles
  • help commissioners and service providers organise person centred care for mental and physical health
  • help commissioners and service providers identify good practice in delivering person centred care.

How you can help

National Voices are interested in your feedback on the set of “I” statements defining what is most important to people with continuing mental health needs. Please take a look and give your comments and feedback. The deadline is the 11 March: please email narrative@nationalvoices.org.uk“.
