New resources on organising inclusive and insightful events

Published: 27 Nov, 2024

Centring lived experience at events about health and social care is vital. It promotes social justice, fosters understanding, and unlocks ideas that can improve people’s care and support.

That’s why we’ve been working to create research into inclusive event planning and a practical toolkit for event organisers, developed in partnership with Social Care Future and In Control.

The research highlights key barriers that can prevent people with lived experience from fully participating in events, and the toolkit shares guidance on how we can overcome those barriers and put lived experience front and centre.

Explore these new resources by visiting our Resource Library – and please share them with anybody you know who is involved in organising events. Together, we can help create more inclusive spaces for all.
