Making it Real is the direction of travel for the Government

Published: 9 Jul, 2019

TLAP is delighted that the Government is supporting Making it Real, our framework for good care and support across social care and health. Speaking at the annual LGA conference, Matt Hancock, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, talked about the commitment to personalisation and greater choice being the vision of the NHS Long Term Plan, and the commitments in the Making it Real framework.

Minister for Care, Caroline Dinenage said: “Our NHS Long Term Plan will ensure 2.5 million more people can benefit from personalised care over the next five years, doubling that within the decade. To achieve this, the whole health and care system, and anyone delivering or receiving personalised care, has a vital role to play.

“The Making it Real framework sets out a compelling vision for greater choice and high quality, personalised care for everyone. I wholeheartedly support it and look forward to making it a reality for even more people.”

We’d like to extend a thank you to all our partners and colleagues who supported the development of Making it Real.
