Leadership of Empowered and Healthy Communities programme

Published: 24 Apr, 2013

During an unprecedented climate of change for social care the need for strong and effective leadership has never been more important. Last year a group of leading social care organisations came together to develop a leadership programme that put social care service users at the heart of decision making.

The New Economics Foundation’s evaluation of the 2012 programme found,
“The leadership course was regarded in positive terms unanimously by those that attended. It was described as “excellent”, “inspirational” and perhaps most crucially, has already led to new leadership behaviours in those attending.”

Following the success of last year’s programme we are delighted to announce that TLAP and partners will be running a second cohort of the acclaimed Leadership of Empowered and Healthy Communities programme. The innovative programme explores how senior leaders can grow and nurture local social capital in order to build stronger communities and improve health and wellbeing.
