We’re inviting people with living experience of care and support and people who work directly with people who draw on care and support to join two online workshops. Together, we’ll explore and shape what good leadership looks like in personalised health and social care.

Why this work is important
Care and support enables people to live their life their way.
The ideas and insights we hear from you will inform a new Well-led theme for Making It Real, a set of statements that describe what good personalised care looks like. These principles will also be adopted by the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) Assessment Framework, meaning they’ll play a key role in how leadership is evaluated across health and social care.
Who we want to hear from
To get this right we’re bringing together:
- People who work directly with people who draw on care and support, to tell us what you need from leaders to feel supported, valued, and able to provide personalised care.
- People with lived experience of care and support, to tell us what you think leaders need to do to make care truly personalised.
Workshop details
- Monday 24th February – 10-12
- Wednesday 26th February – 10-12
You must be available to attend both workshops.
The workshops will take place online and are designed to create an open space for sharing ideas. We’ll start with a main session to introduce the project and gather initial thoughts. You’ll then join smaller breakout groups for more focussed discussions and feedback.
People who draw on care and support will be paid £21.63 per hour for attending both workshops, in line with our co-production pay rate.
Why take part?
Your input will influence how leadership is assessed across health and social care, ensuring leaders create environments where people can thrive.
By working in co-production, we can make sure leaders understand both the needs of people who draw on care and support, and the people that support them.
