The projects are part of a programme of work commissioned by the Transition Alliance in support of the effective delivery of personalisation.

Project work will be carried out by representatives from volunteer local authorities, with a modest input of co-ordination and specialist advice provided by In Control. The projects will run until June 2012.

The following local authorities have signed up to take part in this work:

  • Blackburn with Darwen
  • Wirral
  • Cumbria
  • Halton
  • Manchester City
  • Stockport
  • Trafford
  • Cheshire West

And the projects will focus on:

  • Minimum process, self-rating by local authorities
  • Choice and control in the use of managed personal budgets
  • Workforce development

You can find out more about these projects and what they will entail by visiting the In-control website.
