Definition
A plan that includes details of a carer’s eligible care and support needs and how their needs will be met. It should describe how the planned support will help the carer to do the things that matter to them, and that they identified in their assessment as being important to their wellbeing. The plan will include a personal budget, which is the cost to the local authority of meeting the carer’s needs.
The Care Act 2014 refers to ‘care and support plans’ for people who require care and support, and ‘support plans’ for carers who need some support.
