Webinar - Sharing effective practice in maximising uptake of direct payments

Added on

Following recent workshops led by Disability Rights UK we are pleased to announce a series of webinars sharing effective practice in maximising uptake of direct payments. The webinars will include key strategies, national examples and the experience of direct payment leads from every region.

The proportion of personal budgets offered as direct payments needs to increase and there has been some evidence that the uptake of direct payments has plateaued. The webinars look at direct payments as an integral part of personalisation. The session will include examples of external support planning, Personal Assistants, registers, community development, managed bank accounts and improved assessment systems.

Confirmed speakers are Frances Hasler and Sandy Marshall of Disability Rights UK, Martin Routledge and Jaimee Lewis of TLAP. They will take place on 9 and 13 May.
