The New Social Care: strengths-based approaches

Added on

The Royal Society of Arts has published The New Social Care: strengths-based approaches, edited by TLAP co-Chair and Shared Lives Plus CEO Alex Fox. It sets out how strengths-based approaches to social care can help to build community contributions through a 'networked' model of care, in which services and non-service contributions are better coordinated. With a foreword by Paul Burstow MP, who chaired the Joint Committee scrutinising the Care Bill, the pamphlet suggests assessment and eligibility processes need to change to foster creativity and avoid a wasteful 'gatekeeping' mentality.
