NICE checklist for new care home medicines policy

NICE has recommended in its guideline on managing medicines in care homes that care home providers should have a care home medicines policy that includes written processes.

This new downloadable checklist provides clear, step-by-step information for health and social care staff who are developing and updating care home medicines policies. It will also be useful for commissioners so that they can ensure that care home providers have processes in place for the safe and effective use of medicines for residents in care homes.
