Coproduction Coordinator in Europe

TLAP's joint Co-production Coordinator Miro Griffiths recently travelled to the European Parliament to call for disability issues to be prioritised as part of his role with the European Network on Independent Living (ENIL).

Miro says that especially during the current period of austerity, disabled people are marginalised, exploited and isolated. He is lobbying the government and the European Parliament to do more to tackle inequality, some of the issues included:

• Austerity Measures
• Issues affecting disabled people from across Europe
• Importance of Co-production and Partnerships between disabled people, their organisations, and decision makers
• ENIL Freedom Drive 2013

Miro's knowledge and experience of disability politics in the UK and across Europe will be a huge asset to TLAP Co-production Co-ordination team, which also includes Shahana Ramsden and Clenton Farquharson. Miro was interviewed by the Europe and You website.
