• Increase their understanding of the evaluation results of the personal health budget pilots and plans for the future
• Hear directly a personal lived experience of using personal health budgets
• Be updated on plans to further work on integrating health and social care at an individual level through personal budgets.

Wednesday 22 May

ROOM 4 10.15 - 11am
National Personal Budgets survey
Personal budget numbers are steadily increasing, but in the context of forthcoming legislation making them compulsory, it's critical to ensure they deliver and improve the outcomes and experiences of the people who need care and support. Delegates who attend this workshop will:
• Hear the results of the 2013 National Personal Budgets survey, which is being launched the same day
• Increase their understanding of progress made to date in work being undertaken to improve delivery of personal budgets to older people
• Hear directly a personal lived experience of the impact personal budgets has made to an older person's life, and that of their family

CAN PERSONALISATION FOR DISABLED ADULTS SURVIVE CUTS TO SERVICES?
Rising eligibility thresholds, reduced funding and bureaucratic processes within local authorities are undermining the personalisation agenda's ability to provide real choice and control to disabled adults. This debate session will look at whether personalisation remains viable and innovations to deliver sufficient and more effective care and support to adults in need.

REFORMING THE ROLE OF ADULTS' SOCIAL WORKERS
